SMM reported on January 14: Recently, the mainstream quotations for acid-soluble titanium slag (Yunnan) were 4,650 yuan/mt, and for acid-soluble titanium slag (Sichuan) were 5,820-5,870 yuan/mt, basically flat compared to the previous working day.
Due to the continuous rise in ferrous sulphate prices in south-west China, the demand for acid slag from titanium dioxide producers has almost dropped to zero. Coupled with high production costs, acid slag factories have almost entirely ceased production. The entire acid slag market has entered a holiday state in advance.
